,,,,,,,,,,,You can also dry, vacuum-pack and otherwise prepare food for storage. Vacuum pumps are available commercially or can be constructed in your own home. You can use them to seal dried food in mason jars and other containers.
When packing foods for storage, you want to eliminate oxygen (which is why a vacuum is so good). Bugs, such as weevils, and other organisms that can destroy your food need the oxygen to live, just as we do. That's why commercial companies who prepare survival food pack grains, cereals, pasta, beans and other food in nitrogen-filled containers. You can accomplish a similar packaging yourself by using dried ice.
Simply take the 10 pounds of noodles (or 25 pounds of rice or other dried food) you picked up from the warehouse and put them in an appropriately sized plastic bucket with a lid that can create a good seal. The add several chunks of dried ice. As it sublimates, your bucket will fill with carbon dioxide, which will displace all or most of the oxygen (since carbon dioxide is heavier, the oxygen should rise to the top and out of the bucket). Place the lid on the bucket, but don't seal it all the way until you think the dry ice has completely turned to gas. This is a fine line, since you want to seal it before oxygen starts leaking back into the bucket. Remember, as soon as you open the bucket, whoosh! the air will rush back in
THIS IS A LITTLE BIT OF THIS AND A LITTLE BIT OF THAT ...ENJOY !

"Three older people told me at different times about ACV drink for make the urine and body more alkaline, which promotes health and as a healthy remedy daily. Another older woman in her 80's also used this drink. They all lived a long and full lifes.
A mix of equal parts: honey (raw, unfiltered best except for babies), organic apple cider vinegar, and filtered water. Several TBL's can be added to a 8 oz. glass of water and taken twice a day or more often for illness or UTI. The honey makes the ACV much more palatable and adds needed nutrients and electolytes. This is also good for upset stomachs or nausea, sipping small sips as able."

FOR CONSTAPATION
,,, "I have been taking ACV/BS/Water for several months now. Loss of 17 lbs is terrific! I've been tapering off the ACV due to the jitters. I drink only filtered or mountain spring water (at least 1 liter) and tea now, no soft drinks, no diet drinks, no aspartame. Occasionally I take BSM. Also take SuperGreens and Magnesium plus flax seed pill. I use only coconut or grape seed oils for any eating/cooking. Gave up sugar, white bread, white flour, am eating organic mostly or home cooking veggies, rice, some chicken, whole wheat breads. Cut way back on proportion size. I use sea salt. Take B compound 3 times a week. Use Turmeric and Oil of Oregano for sinuses/sore throat/cold. I keep my Ph around 7 and walk 3 or 4 times a week. Still I have insomnia, plus now I am SUFFERING WITH CONSTIPATION. Additional fiber makes it much worse. In my life I can only remember being constipated 2 or 3 times and I am over 60. To combat this, I took 2 TBL mineral oil last night, nothing happened. I took 2 more TBL late this morning, still nothing by 11 pm tonight. I am on blood pressure meds (HCTZ and atenolol) plus cymbalta anti depressant. I was taking Lipitor but gave that up recently. Anyone have any thoughts? I have read all the posts on constipation and suppose tomorrow I will try Lime and BS, or maybe tonight. HELP.

HELP WITH LOSING MY WEIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Home Remedies to Lose Weight
Updated: 01/27/2011
"The least intrusive weight loss methods, and those most often recommended by physicians, are adjustments to eating patterns and increased physical exercise. Usually, health professionals will recommend that their overweight patients combine a reduction of the caloric content of the diet with an increase in physical activity.
Other methods of losing weight include use of drugs and supplements that decrease appetite, block fat absorption, or reduce stomach volume. Surgery is another method. Bariatric surgery artificially reduces the size of the stomach, limiting the intake of food energy. Some of these treatments may have serious side-effects." (Wikipedia)
APPLE CIDER VINEGAR DOSAGE AND RECIPE
09/08/2008: Earth Clinic writes: "We are going to revise our recommendations for daily use of apple cider vinegar. As you know, Earth Clinic has recommended the standard 2 teaspoons in 8 oz of water 3x a day for years now. For more severe conditions, we recommended 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in 8 oz of water 3x day. We are coming to believe, however, that less is more in the case of apple cider vinegar. Less vinegar, more water.
Our revision to this remedy is as follows:
2 teaspoons of organic apple cider vinegar
16 ounces of water
Sip, don't chug!
We now suggest 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar in 16 ounces of water that you'll sip throughout the day, rather than drinking the whole concoction at once 3 times a day. You will be keeping your pH in a constant, alkalized state by sipping this highly diluted dosage. Usually one tall glass of the concoction is all you'll need each day.
If you drink a lot of water throughout the day, consider adding just a splash of apple cider vinegar to your glass/container each time you fill it up, rather than drinking the one, 16 oz glass of acv and water mentioned above.
For the record, we are not big fans of adding baking soda to apple cider vinegar, nor are we fans of adding any kind of sweetener to the acv/water solution. The baking soda works great for some people, but causes severe side effects in others.
Also, we know the B---- brand is the most popular apple cider vinegar on the market, but we've had just as good results using Whole Foods' organic and Trader Joe's organic apple cider vinegar.
We hope you will experience better, faster results with this revised remedy!"
*** Note: Are you drinking or eating any diet products containing artificial sweeteners? If so, you may want to read the feedback on aspartame and sucralose side effects!.....
Cheese is opiate producing and causes addiction, but then so does caffeine from the cola.
More than 90% all items in fast food is actually acid forming, which includes hamburgers, french fries, fried chicken, coke, etc. The only item that isn't so is salad using Italian Dressing!
The other problem appears that OILY food and trans fatty acid are quite dangerous, particularly that when you do boil vegetable oils in high temperature the starch and sugars and vegetable oils will form a cancer causing compound called Marylander.
The other thing that is less known is oil tends to act like a sponge in gathering heavy metals during cooking. This is why avoiding oily food is important.
Eating sweets causes you to be fat because they are not burned when you do eat it, so the body stores them. Eating oily food is not healthy either, because oily foods becomes fat too, but most importantly free fatty acids are highest in fried food (from the frying possibly) and scientists do know that free fatty acids BLOCKS the actions of hormones.
Hormones, in my opinion play an important part in controlling your weight, in fact most of my weight loss is actually attributable to the increase in hormone supplements of DHEA, or the reduction of oily foods from frying as well as reduction of sugar. Most weight loss that is clearly seen by scientists which are often on short term of a year or less that clearly shows weight loss have a lot to do with hormone injections using human growth hormone and other hormonal related substances.
Of course we as a consumer prefer a safer method than just following the scientist footsteps since hormones are rather risky in some cases. A much safer way is the use of secretogues, which means taking more of certain amino acids to cause the body to increase in hormone naturally. Human growth hormone is well known to increase from taking certain amino acids such as L-glutamine, L-glycine, L-ornithine, and L-arginine for example and they found to increase several times.
The other is vitamin, where B3 niacin is the common one, however, I went to dig a little deeper and found niacinamide, which won't cause the flush to work just as well. Of course for the purists, niacin red flush problem can be stopped by just taking one aspirin 30 minutes before taking niacin.
Whichever, I still prefer to take niacin, and my remedy for human growth hormone formula is to take several grams of amino acid before sleep, in particular L-glutamine, L-glycine and niacin. I still think the adrenal glands, which prevent you from job burnout or inability to handle stress, ESPECIALLY me, means that I also need certain vitamins which will cause my body to produce adrenal glands naturally too. The best ones to handle that is taking a gram or two of Vitamin B5 such panthenol or pantothenic acid. I tend to avoid calcium and take more magnesium, but in the fish aquarium world and natural sea, the ideal concentration should be 3 parts magnesium to 1 part calcium. Since our food already has plenty of calcium, usually from vegetables, then magnesium is something we need more of. Very few people in fact know that an ordinary potatoes same serving has a lot more calcium then that of milk. So i guess we can thank the boys on Madison Avenue for creating this kind of urban legends.
Finally the single most important things we DON'T need whether it be fast food or even all processed food: Monosodium Glutamate (MSG). MSG not only will make the food taste good, but MSG also destroys the hypothalamus which controls the entire body's homeostasis. The most easily seen is appetite. Upon taking it, you will have a sudden urge to eat more and more which leads to obesity. In fact, scientist can make baby mice morbidly fat by injecting them with monosodium glutamate. The MSG will once entering into the brain destroying the delicate homeostasis mechanism controlling hunger and will be morbidly fat throughout its lives.
Of course this can be boon sales for the pharmaceuticals selling cholesterol lowering drugs and other. However, most people do not read the labels, especially when taking vaccine injections, monosodium glutamate is commonly added too, besides just the toxic mercury thimerosal and alzheimer causing aluminum.
A couple of decades ago, it was required that babies be in their 6 months or life or beyond to get a vaccine, otherwise it would cause brain damage. Today we are doing it within a week of birth and suddenly there is a jump in the number of ADHD, attention deficit disorder and autism case. [EC: read Candice Pert's research on this subject]
Currently it is the developed countries that have the highest rate of ADHD, attention deficit disorder and autism while the underdeveloped countries can't afford them.
So as you can see it is not JUST the fast food being a problem, other areas are also problems too."

USES FOR OLD STRAWS
THIS IS SO GREAT.....GRAB AS MANY STRAWS FROM FAST FOOD PLACES AS YOU CAN I'LL TELL YOU WHY..INSTEAD OF CARRYING AROUND SPICE AND SALT AND PEPPER DHAKERS AND SUCH USE THE STRAWS ..FILL UP WITH CONDINMINTS AND MELT THE ENDS ....HERES A INSTUCTION ON IT..Condiment Packets
Carrying very small amounts of things like tooth powder, salt, or chili powder can be tricky. Here's a method for packing individual servings using plain old drinking straws. If you can find paper straws, you won't even have to carry out the packaging.
If desired, use a ruler to calibrate the volume per inch for your straw. I found that a common 6mm straw filled to 2.25 inches gave me 1/2 teaspoon of seasoning.
Weight: My little finger scale is not sensitive enough to register the weight of the 4 inch straw segment I use to make a single packet!
Instructions:
1. Cut two half-inch pieces off the end of a straw
2. Fold and cap one end of the straw, sliding one of the 1/2" sections over the end to "lock" the fold as shown below
3. Dip the open end of the straw repeatedly into the substance you want to package, forcing it up into the tube to the desired depth
4. Turn the straw upside down and tap until the filling is all down at the sealed end
5. Trim, fold and cap remaining open end
6. Label with a fine Sharpie(r) or other waterproof pen An optional way to label is to fold a short piece of tape (e.g. freezer or masking tape) around the straw, and onto itself, creating a small flag that you can write on.
Tips: If you're collecting straws from fast food joints, be discriminating. Some are more flimsy than others -- flimsy is good! If you're interested in trying this with paper straws, try looking for ArtStraws(r) craft straws at your local school or craft supply.

MAKE YOUR OWN FISHING GEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!
Make Your Own Fishing Gear
Materials (per rod):
Long, straight stick (green wood) OR bamboo cane.
18 gauge wire
Large thread spool (empty)
20 oz pop bottle (empty and clean)
Coat hanger (with cardboard dowel)
2 corks
Fishing line
Lure & hook materials (see suggestions below)
Ruler
Wire cutters
Pliers
Scissors
Awl
Nail polish
Fishing Rod: Find a green twig (not an old dried out stick) which is a little taller than you are when your hands are raised over your head. The stick should be about 1" wide at one end, tapering to 1/4 " at the other. Smooth the stick by trimming off the small shoots with sandpaper or a file. If a green twig isn't available, you can use a bamboo stick.
Eyes: To keep your fishing line running straight all the way down the pole, put screw eyes along the rod, as follows.
Put one screw eye about two feet from the wide end of the pole. Keeping the screw eyes lined up on the same side of the pole, attach two or three more screw eyes at equal intervals along the fishing pole.
Or, you can make your own screw eyes. For each eye, cut a piece of wire (about 18 gauge) about 6" long, and form the wire into the looped shapes. Set the looped wire along the fishing rod. Wrap other pieces of wire around each end of the looped wire and rod. Twist the loop at the center, twisting it against the pole.
Reel: Insert a coat hanger wire through the hole of a large thread spool. Trim the wire so that 6" extends from one spool end and 1" extends from the other spool end. To hold the wire firmly in place, hammer thin dowels or sticks into the spool holes.
Using a 20 oz plastic pop bottle, remove the top and the bottom, leaving the flat center section intact. (you now have a cylinder of flat plastic) Cut into 2" wide rings, and then cut through the center of each ring to make a strip (each rod will need one strip of plastic). Round off the 4 edges so they are not sharp. Poke a hole into each side of the plastic so the spool is just below each side. Set the spool between the sides of the plastic so that the spool wires extend through the holes in the plastic.
Bend the longer wire into a crank. Slip a small spool or piece of cardboard roll from a coat hanger over the crank. Push a cork over the shorter wire to hold the reel in place on the rod.
Slip the rod through the reel, resting the rod on the bottom of the plastic piece. Turn the reel until it lines up with the eyes and is 4" from the wide end of the rod. Nail the plastic part of the reel to the rod at each side and bottom of the reel.
Beginning at the narrow end of the rod, thread fishing line through each eye, and tie a tight knot around the spool. Use the crank to wind the line around the spool. Leave enough line extending from the tip of the pole to tie a lure to the line.
Hooks: To make a simple hook, sharpen the ends of a small chicken bone into points by rubbing the tips on a sidewalk. Notch the middle by rubbing scissors blades around the center. Or, you can whittle a small piece of wood into a lure shape.
Lures: Instead of using live bait, you might want to make lures. The lures should shimmer and move in order to attract fish. Use beads, netting, small feathers, grass, tinsel, colored thread, pieces of plastic straws and colored stripes of cloth to create insect-like creatures sure to lure the fish out of the deep. Use brightly colored fingernail polish for detail.
Bobber: You can attach a bobber to the line using a cork with bright colored fingernail polish painted on it.
Attach the lure materials to the hook with wire or pipe cleaners, or tie or thread the lure to the hook. Keep the sharpened points of the hook exposed so that nothing will interfere with capturing your dinner.
With these a-lur-ing ideas for fishing gear, chances are you'll end up with a fine kettle of fish! And, even if you don't catch any fish, you'll have a lot of fun trying.

HOW TO MAKE A ..HOMEMADE FOOD DYHDRATOR
Materials Required:
- Foil covered Foam-core insulation board
- Foil flue tape (Duct tape might also work)
- Ceramic closet light fixture
- 100 watt light bulb
- Extension cord
- optionally a clip on switch
- Electricians tape
- Zip-lock baggie
- Twist caps for wiring.
- Cheap foil cookie trays - thinner is better
- Wire Coat-hangers
Instructions:
1) determine how many trays you want to dry at a time.
2) (top and bottom) - Cut two pieces of insulation board the dimension of your cookie sheets + 1" each side for air flow + 1" each side for construction purposes as detailed below. This is the top and bottom.
3) (long sides) Cut two pieces of insulation board dimensioned by length of the bottom piece and height of 6" for clearance with heating element (light bulb - see below) + 1" per tray desired in use.
4) (short sides) cut two pieces of insulation board dimensioned by width of bottom piece - 2" for construction overlap(see below) for length and height of 6" for clearance with heating element (light bulb - see below) + 1" per tray desired in use.
5) Assemble. Placing the long sides ontop of the bottom at 90 degrees to form the sides use the flue-tape to attach them. Make sure that the flue-tape contacts the foil on both pieces as it will peal away from the cut foam easily. With both long sides in place, insert the short sides between long sides and bottom and tape. You may want to tape the inside seams also. Attach the lid with tape on one long side only and use two or three thicknesses for a hinge. Now you have a very light well insulated box.
6) Wire. Find the approximate center of the bottom and poke a hole with a phillips screwdriver to allow a wire to thread thru. Cut the socket end off the extension cord and send the raw wires through the bottom of the dehydrator. Assemble the ceramic light socket ( use a ceramic ceiling socket because it will be getting hot.). Make sure to use the twists to cover the exposed wires. Cover the foil where the socket will sit down on the bottom insulation board with a bunch of electricians tape and the zip-lock baggie for electrical insulation. You don't want the foil of the box to become electrical! Put the clip-on switch on the cord somewhere convenient outside the box. Put a lightbulb in the socket and light it up. If there are no sparks, fumes or blown fuses you are good to go!
7) Put in the racks. Find where on the long sides the height of the bulb +1" is and poke some coat-hangers in through the box and out the other side. Continue this vertically for each layer you wish to dry.
Dry some stuff!
Tips on usage:
1) stagger the racks such that the airflow path weaves through not around. This can be done by sliding alternate racks up against the alternating sides / corners.
2) Get a stove thermometer and determine what heat you reach with different wattage light bulbs. This will allow some control over the drying time and temp.
3) Get some fiberglass window screens and rinse them in bleach for sanitation and youre drying time will be reduced vs using the cookie sheets.
4) If you are consistantly getting too much heat you can poke some holes in the bottom edge of the sides or the bottom but be careful not to weaken the structure or cause a thermal updraft that might bring in humid air. (I use mine in the celler and a hole drawing from the floor would not be a good thing for my food or the drying process).
5) you will want to run with the top open at-least since you need to let the water out.
I find that with a 100 watt bulb, the top propped open with a screwdriver and a few holes along the long sides at the bottom, I can dry a can of refritos in an over-night. My dehydrator runs around 180 degrees F consistantly in this configuration. I was above 200 degrees F with the unit sealed. (lid down and no holes in the sides).
I have considered adding a simple fan from Radio Shack but so-far don't see the need.
Total cost for this was around $10 - mostly the light fixture and extension cord.
I PUT TOGATHER A LITTLE SOMETHING FOR MAKING USEFUL ITEMS OUT OF THINGS AROUND US!!!!
MAKE YOUR OWN
LIGHTWEIGHT PLUMBER'S STOVE
Contributed by: Robert Crowley, 1999Introduction
Long before the thermos bottle was invented, most working folks brought their hot drinks to work in glass milk bottles wrapped in wool blankets to keep them warm for drinking later that day. The plumber was an inventive chap, and since he had use of alcohol torches ( before gas torches ) for soldering copper and lead pipe, he had a ready fuel for heating, so it wasn't long before a plumber ( so the story goes ) rigged up a tiny stove to make coffee and heat up his lunch meal. Soon, during the years before WWII, most tradesmen and railroad workers were using this little stove. It lost favor to the glass vacuum thermos bottle during the 1950's.
Materials List
1/2 pint ( 8 fl oz ) paint or stain can with press-on lid
3-inch-wide by about 12-inch-long piece of sheet metal ( thin guage steel - not aluminum )
( 1 ) Radiator hose clamp - big enough to go around the can
( 1 ) Bag of cotton balls
Instructions
Use paint thinner to clean out the can of all paints or stains then wash out with soap and water.
Stuff the can full of cotton balls to the rim. Pack them in, but not too tight.
Wrap the sheet metal strip around the can to form a ring, and trim off excess so as to have a 3/4-round ring for the burner wind screen.
Position the ring about 1 inch down on the can so that 2 inches protrude above the can's top and clamp on the radiator hose clamp and tighten down the metal ring to the can as tight as you can get it. (This may distort the can a bit but the steel can is very tough and it won't break it).
Bend over the corner edges of the ring on top, so you or your pack won't get cut on it's sharp edges.
Use a pair of sheet metal snips and cut a series of "V" groves around the top edges of the burner ring, being sure there's enough flat ring surface to support a pot or cup.
Pour in enough alcohol fuel to soak the cotton "wick" -- that'll be about 6 to 7 oz. of fuel -- and seal the lid.
Light My Fire
Using the Plumber"s stove is pretty straight forward, just pry off the lid with a spoon or pocket knife, light the wick and set your pot or cup of beverage on the stove in order to heat or boil.
To put out the flames , just drop the lid upside-down on the can and let it cool before sealing the lid.
This little stove burns about 50 minutes on one filling and will boil 16 ounces of water in ten minutes. You don't have to fill it every time you need to use it. It's very safe and the bottom stays cool when in use ( I've used it indoors many times ).
And it fits inside my camp cup!
As a bonus, in an emergency, you will have a bunch of alcohol-soaked fire starters on hand.
Homemade Fuel Bottle
Take a 16 oz peroxide bottle ( very tough plastic ) and a drinking spout from a spring water bottle ( pull to open /push to close ) and you've got a super no-spill fuel bottle for alcohol fuels.,,,,,,,

lighting an oil lamp
,,i fill it full of oil and let the oil soak for about an hour or more. ................The wick shouldn't stick up very tall. Just a tiny bit above the adjuster knob wick turner. It shouldn't take hours for the wick to get wet.......If you're getting a lot of smoking you have too much of the wick above the burner/adjuster. Use plain lamp oil not the oil with paraffin mixed in with it. Without being saturated with oil the wick would not burn for long and would give off a LOT of smoke. The flame should be a bright yellow color with no smoke. Prolly a 1/2" wick so the flame should burn no higher than about 3/4 +- inches. If there is a lot of black char on the wick it may need trimming. Cut the black part off at exactly 90 degrees (straight across the wick). Make sure the globe and lifter are well seated to minimize draft. You want the draft coming from the tubes on either side of the globe to work properly.,
SOMEONE SAID I NEEDED TO DO A SECTION DEVOTED TO DUCK -TAPE(100 mph tape)
here you go ,,,,,100mph tape is a easy way to remove warts. I thought it was crazy but wrapped a wart on my thumb for about 5 days and it was gone. Something to do with the glue, what ever it works. Got to love that 100mph tape!..................Saw a pair of slippers made from cardboard, newspaper and covered in duct tape. SOles were DT, then cardboard, the paper, then DT and DT tops, sticky sides toward each other. A guy wore them into a C-store and he was showing them off, yes, it was along highway 86 south of Branson, MO.,,,,,,,,This stuff is awesome for a tail light repair.,,,,,,,,,Also in a pinch broom handle + duct tape + shard knife = spear.,,,,,,,,,IF I FIND ANYMORE (which i know I will it'll be posted IF ANYONE ELSE KNOWS OF ANY IDEAS FOR DUCK TAPE ...POST THEM)
Peserving meat
,,,,,,,.
Prompt dressing and skinning is nessesary to prevent your meat from souring. Once the body heat is dissipated, the danger of souring is past. Next you will protect the meat from flies, and delay or prevent spoilage from bacterial action. In weather which is sunny yet cool, with a brisk wind blowing, meat can be hung in the open where it will dry with the outer layer hardening to a tough black skin. Flies cant penetrate this so bacterial spoilage is delayed. Figure how much meat will do the camp for 5 - 7 days, depending on how hot the days are running. Set this amount aside to keep fresh and dry the remainder at once. Keep the meat with any fat layers for fresh and the straight lean for drying. In hot weather, go to the coolest, shadyest place you can find and practice fly-tight bagging in the daytime and uncovered to the cool air at night when flies are inactive. The covering has to promote good ventilation, such as a pillow case or flour sack etc. If no material is available to prevent flies from landing then hang the meat in a cool place and maintain a light smoke fire beneath till the outter layer turns black. No heat should reach the meat, and green deciduous wood is best. Meat to be dried must be cut into strips 1/4 inch thick max, but as wide and long as managable. Hang them on a rack of light, dry poles in a strong sun and brisk breeze to deter flies. In 2-3 days it will be so dry it will crumble when you bite it. Without a good breeze, maintain a cool smoky fire as well, till meat is dry enough to not attract flies. The fire should not be allowed to produce more heat than you can easily bear holding a hand over it at half the height of the racks. Once thoroughly rid of all moisture, it will keep indefinetily as long as it doesnt become damp. As you cook up each days fresh meat, you can see how well its keeping. Should you sense your meat is about to turn, cook the entire remaining lot at once. It will then keep a couple days more. Never make jerky from meat about to turn!

SATAN USES ADDICTION AS A FORM OF CONTROL
Satan's Use of Addiction
Excerpt from FOUNDATION TO ALL FREEDOM
How is Satan involved in addiction and why?
But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short (Rev 12:12).
Out of the raw materials that God had created, Satan has built a twisted kingdom that manifests his character. He has an organized intricate agenda, established connections in high places throughout the world, and is successfully moving into positions of authority and control.
Satan is not an evil force or a symbol of negative energy. He is a powerful spirit being. Even though his mind and heart are twisted with pride, he is highly intelligent, hard–working and skilled in the art of deception, politics and diplomacy. A Hitler’s ingenious mind and yet equally depraved heart.
Satan has an insatiable desire to be in sovereign control over every man, woman, and child on this planet. As Children of God, we are not to fear him, but we are to take him seriously (1 Pet 5:8). He is the enemy of our soul and will take any opportunity to develop a control base. But equipped with spiritual armor, we will be enabled to be victorious and free. (Eph 6:12).
We live in a spiritually hostile world! In the last days, as in the days of Noah, the world is becoming increasingly corrupt. Satan's grip is tightening. He is preparing to rise to power as Antichrist. His control will be so complete that no man, woman, or child will be able to buy or sell unless his mark of ownership is on their body. In his twisted thinking, to control is to become a god.
Control Buttons
Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour (1 Pet 5:8). He will lull you into a sense of false security before he moves in for the kill. He is a spiritual predator wreaking destruction on unsuspecting prey. For this reason, God warns us to be alert and self–controlled. We are living in a fool's paradise, believing we can flirt with his kingdom and come out unscathed. In turning to this world for fulfillment, we jeopardize our diplomatic immunity that has been purchased by Christ. An immunity that enables us to live holy lives in an unholy world.
How does Satan gain control? By creating and fulfilling need—creating dependency, and providing the sole source of fulfillment. Alcohol, sex, heroin, caffeine, nicotine, even junk food are prime examples of his destructive tools of control.
The list is endless, pornography, sleeping pills, fantasy books, late night infomercials, diets, Donkey Kong, Internet, dating chat lines, even the cable shopping channel. There are therapists who specialize in helping lonely souls overcome shopping channel addiction. People will sit up day and night watching this stuff. It becomes their closest friend, sometimes their only companion.
Any form of stimulation, whether drugs, alcohol, porn Internet or a roller coaster ride, falsely heightens sensory awareness through an increase of adrenaline in the blood stream. Heart rate increases, the body tingles, palms sweat, emotions soar and imagination runs wild. This state is always temporary and results in a stimulation deficit causing a feeling of restless emptiness.
Sex was created by God. It is given to the husband and wife as a wedding gift to enjoy physical and spiritual union. Between a married couple it is the dance of love. A sweet incense pleasing to God. In marriage, it is one of the most holy acts our flesh can engage in. But Satan has twisted sex into a powerful destructive lever—a tool of control.
A father gets up in the middle of the night, sneaks to his 7–year–old daughter's room, stealing from her what was being saved for her husband. She will never trust a man again. The silent screams carry her to the brink of insanity.
A wife is anxiously waiting for her husband to come home. Walking through the front door, one look and she knows. Betrayal! He has destroyed her trust. The wound in her heart will infect the rest of her life.
Respected Christian leaders have been caught with their pants down for all the world to see. Broken men with broken dreams, teaching God, living in sin. Satan laughs as the world asks, is nothing sacred? Who can we trust? Christian ministers, husbands, wives, teachers, politicians, rock stars, and teenagers have come crashing to the ground because of sex. It is a powerful tool because it has been created by a powerful God.
In the same way, food in its twisted state, has the power to control. Sugar, salt, and fat–laced foods are physically and emotionally addictive. The average North American Diet is clear evidence of Satan's agenda. Healthy, nutrient–rich foods, twisted into addictive tools of control.
Cravings are a bent form of hunger. The body hungering for something that is poisonous and like puppets in a play, we dance to its deadly song. Promising satisfaction, only to end in sickness, suffering, and a hellish cycle of dependence.
Culture is in a constant state of evolution. Directing that evolution is the key to power. A force that impacts the unconscious movements of the herd. Man is a creature of habit, we live our lives in patterns. The world is changing and we are changing with it. Changes that affect how we think and feel. It seems we have been caught in a tide, so busy swimming to keep up there is no time to stop, think, and consider the direction life has taken. And as the years roll by, we wonder where the time has gone, too frightened to even consider how meaningless our lives have become.
We are so inundated by change, we simply do not have the time to consider how these changes are affecting us on the inside. What shape they are molding us into. We have become a part of the ebb and flow of an ungodly Kingdom, helplessly drifting on a tide that we know inside is leading to spiritual death. We are warned Do not conform to the patterns of this world (Rom 12:1). Conforming is deadly. It is being recreated into something with which God can no longer communicate.
As painful as it is, we have to wake up and learn how to swim against this powerful tide. Being able to live in the midst of the most powerful, influential kingdom that has ever existed in man’s history.

THIS IS ABOUT THE MICROCHIP ......(.this was written 10 years ago)
,,,,,,,,,,,,Microchip Implants
(This article was written over ten years ago)
By Ron Lagerquist
FDA approves implantable identity chip
It’s round up time at OK Corral, a busy time of year for the cowboys. Drawing their branding irons and mounting their horses, these heroes of the west ride off into the sunset.
Ranchers have devised a wonderful technique that solves an ancient problem of whose cattle are whose. This system is to take a red-hot branding iron from the coals and sear a permanent mark on the hunches of their cattle. This mark cannot be removed or destroyed, eliminating any confusion of who owns which cow. So a cowboy, riding on the back of his horse, will lasso a calf, tie his legs together, turn him on his side while the calf is resisting, and sear a permanent mark on his tender young thigh. You can imagine the sense of pride that wells up in a rancher's heart when he looks out his back door to see a herd of cattle with his mark of ownership on their hides.
"He also forced every one, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name." (Rev. 13:16-17)
When Christ looks upon the earth, He sees more than a herd of cattle; He sees individual lives with individual needs. The Bible says that He knows us by name and knows the number of hairs upon our heads. The analogy we see in Psalm 23 is of a shepherd Who tenderly takes care of all His flock's needs, even to the point of laying down His life for the sheep. Jesus said that He would leave the ninety-nine and go in search for that one lost sheep. Finding that sheep causes heaven itself to rejoice. (Luke 15:4) The imagery that is used to describe Jesus as our shepherd reinforces a sense of His tenderness and protection over us, even in the valley of the shadow of death!
When God puts His mark upon His people, it is not just a sign of ownership but a sign also of His love, faithfulness, and presence in our lives. In the Old Testament, God commanded that each male child be circumcised. This circumcision confirmed God's covenant with His people. In the New Testament, (after the resurrection of Christ) the mark becomes the promised Holy Spirit. (Eph.1:13-14) The evidence of the mark of the Holy Spirit is peace, guidance, and a life of separation and holiness. The difference between God's mark and the cattle rancher's mark is that the calves were given no choice in the matter. To the calf, the mark had no meaning except a dim memory of pain.
When God marked us out from this world it involved our will, our desire, and our surrender. This is beautifully illustrated in Acts 2 verse 41. After Peter preached that powerful message on the Day of Pentecost, three thousand people, before the eyes of all men, willingly moved into the river and were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. A baptism that would mark them out as separated for the rest of their lives.
Now, let us look at the grim imitation that Satan has to offer this world. Satan is not very original. In Satan's pride, he is constantly trying to beat God. Let us not forget the fact that the greatest motivating factor in all that he does is to assert himself as being God. God has His Kingdom of light. Satan has built his Kingdom of darkness. God has created nutritious and healthy food. Satan has twisted that food into making it destructive and unhealthy. God has sent His Son, to be the Christ. Satan has sent his man to be the Antichrist. God has appointed prophets; Satan has appointed false prophets. God has put His mark on any that are willing to come to Him and be His child. During the great tribulation, Satan has devised a way to deceive the nations into receiving his mark. He certainly does not get an "A" for originality, but his means suits his purpose.
Christ desires His mark of ownership upon us so that He may bless us and that we may live our lives the way we were created to live, set apart and free. Satan wants his mark of ownership so that he may control us. In his twisted mind, in owning and controlling us, he has become god. Satan has desired to be in control of this world since the dawn of man but in doing so, he still has God to contend with. Satan is the prince of power in this world, but God's master plan is still alive and well on Earth today.
In Revelation, it is clear that Satan will be in absolute control of this world for seven years. In second Thessalonians 2 verse 7, Paul says that when he takes control of this world in the form of the Antichrist, it will only be when God allows him to do so and not before. In reading history, we can see a pattern of Satan trying to take control of the earth before his time. He used people like Alexander the Great, Nero, Stalin, and Hitler. There are many others in whom Satan would want to use as a tool of control over the entire earth but it was not God’s time.
GOD'S TIMETABLE
Genesis 11, is the account of man building a tower toward the heavens. All of mankind on the face of the earth was able to work together on this tower. In verse 6 the Lord said,
"If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. Come let us go down and confuse their language so that they will not understand each other (Gen. 11:6,7)."
God, according to His master plan, dispersed man all over the face of the earth to separate them by culture and language. Inuit people in the Arctic Circle, Aborigines in Australia, Pigmies in the Himalayan Mountains, thousands of different cultures with different ideas and diverse thinking spread throughout the world. The advantage of God arranging man in such a manner is that it would make it very difficult for Satan to take control of the entire earth as a one-world leader. This is Satan's ultimate goal, which is clearly seen in Revelation. It has not been until our modern day that he would be able to achieve a one-world government. Every man woman and child on the face of the earth under the control of one man, the Antichrist.
The more our technology advances the smaller our world becomes. There is no place on the face of the earth where man is not able to go. This is all a part of God's timetable. It will not be a fluke or accident when the Antichrist takes control of the earth. God will not exclaim in the heavens "Oh no! What has gone wrong?" Nothing is going to take God by surprise.
THE NUMBER "666"
The more money you have, the less cash you handle. It would be preposterous to think of Donald Trump buying a hotel with cash. Large amounts of cash are moved through electronic banking systems. Credit cards, another form of electronic money, are one of the most commonly used devices today. Although cash is still more convenient for buying a chocolate bar or a bag of carrots, it has a big disadvantage when it comes to large purchases. The first is that it can be stolen. There is no identifying factor that it is your money therefore making it a target for thieves. Secondly, it can be counterfeited. The more high-tech printing that is available to the masses the greater the risk of counterfeiting. Thirdly, and most importantly, cash can not be regulated by the government. Cash can be passed back and forth under the table to elude the taxman. Cash can be used in buying illicit drugs and in financing the underworld. The government can do little about this because cash does not identify its owner. The problems of using paper money are strong arguments for a cashless society.
A cashless society would virtually eliminate the underworld. Every dollar would be accounted for by the government, hence taxed. The honest taxpayer would applaud such a move because he has been paying more than his share to cover for what the government has lost with the tax evader. Yet, the biggest selling point of the cashless society is convenience. Mankind will sacrifice a great deal for the sake of convenience. The staircase may be healthier to use but the elevator is more convenient. There may be more risk in a cashless society for government control but it is far more convenient. Think of owning just one card and being able to do all your business transactions with it. Every line of credit you have will be on that card. Your employer will directly deposit your weekly paycheck into that account. Your mortgage and electrical bill will be automatically withdrawn. You will never have to worry about a late payment and the price of goods and services will go down because they will not have to be concerned about collecting money in arrears.
Let us take this whole scenario one step further. There is a lot of research and money going into microchip implants. Why? Because there is high demand for a system that is quick, secure and effective. In any technology, there is always a race to find a product that is also simple, convenient and cheap. But no technology exists in a vacuum; it is a response to a recognized need. Thieves are no longer a group of men riding horses with scarves covering their mouths. Our modern day outlaws operate on the cutting edge of technology. It is a real job for the police force to keep one step ahead. Credit cards can be stolen or forged. This is why there is such an interest in identification devices such as microchip implants. The problem is that they are very expensive, fairly slow, and awkward to use. Who wants to walk up to a bank teller to have an ultraviolet light shone into his eye to have his retina identified?
Let us go back to the cattle ranchers for a moment. We can exchange their horses for jeeps, their cowboy hats for helmets, and their branding irons for "Acme Electronic Chip Inserters". This may sound like something out of a science fiction movie, but microchip implant technology is already being used today. A homing device put into the ear or under the skin of your dog or cat will help the Humane Society identify and locate your lost pet. The chip will transmit relevant information such as vaccination shots, age, name, and owner. They will soon be using microchips as locating devices for young children. Just think how comforting it would be to a mother, especially in our day and age, knowing that her child is just one beep away. It would also thwart the would-be child molester or kidnapper, making them think twice before abducting a child.
In Revelation, Satan has set up a world society in which every man, woman and child will have a number registered by a world government. No one will be able to buy or sell unless he is registered. The number must be permanently impregnated onto the body. If Satan were to try doing this today, it would not go over very well, but our societies thinking is rapidly changing. What would be unacceptable yesterday has become common place today.
If you have given yourself to Christ, you are of a different Kingdom. You have been bought with a price. Do not allow anything to be implanted into or on your body no matter how convenient or how socially acceptable it may become. Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. If you believe in the Bible, then you will see in God’s Word it is clear that Satan is moving to control the entire World. He is moving toward that end even as you are reading this. Jesus is calling us to be on our guard, eyes wide open, spiritually discerning. Following Christ means taking a stand. Being “in this World and not of this World”, willing to be ridiculed because of and for Christ.
All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.

HOME -PIZZIA
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Putting the word "healthy" into pizza starts with the crust. Most standard pizzas your kids are eating is full of nutritionally useless white gluey flour. Did you know that white flour spikes blood sugar faster than white sugar? That makes white flour very addictive. The fast alternative is using whole grain pita shells. All grocery stores should carry them in the bread area. They are a perfect size for making individual pizza masterpieces. Look for the thin ones, they have half the calories than the thick ones, 70 calories compared to about 150 calories.
Now you may have to take some searching and reading the ingredients time to find better food for your family to eat. But before you know it you will familiarize yourself with a whole new part of the grocery store. It's worth the effort. If you cannot find the thin type of whole grain pita shells, don't panic, the more common thicker ones will work just fine. Just make sure they are whole grain.
Pizza Sauce
Canned pizza sauce can be found on the shelf beside the spaghetti sauce. Again, read the ingredients. Try to find a brand that is not full of unpronounceable chemicals and oil, unless it is olive oil, preferably, extra virgin olive oil.
If your really ambitious, you can always make your own pizza sauce. Blend five Roma tomatoes with two tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, and season with salt, garlic and Italian Spice, to taste. To be honest, we just use the canned stuff.
Cheese
May I introduce you to goats cheese. A goat's digestive system is much closer to ours than a cow's, therefore their milk is more digestible for humans. And yes, you can buy mozzarella goats cheese. If you don't tell them nether will I. The stuff tastes great! There is also soy cheese, but again read the ingredients. Just because it's soy doesn't mean it's healthy.
If you absolutely must use regular cheese, go easy on it. Buy stronger tasting cheese, like cheddar so you can use less. Parmesan is great too because a little goes a long way.
Toppings
Now we get to the fun stuff. I am going to give you a list of great pizza toppings but I am sure you can think of many more. You can put just about anything on pizza, creating a mélange of unique flavors and bright color. You can dice your toppings large or small. The rule of thumb is strong flavored toppings like onion, garlic and hot pepper should be diced finely, were tomato or mushroom can be sliced.
Here is our top ten list:
tomatoes
onions
black & green olives
mushrooms
pineapple
all types of peppers
soy pepperoni
broccoli
spinach
feta cheese
Building and Baking
Prepare all the toppings ahead of time . Preheat oven to 450 Fahrenheit. Have the pitas laid out on cookie sheets, two will fit per sheet. You can fit two sheets in your oven. Allow the family to build their own pizza's, ladies before gentlemen. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until cheese is melted. Expect demands for seconds!

NATURAL SWEETNERS
Excerpt From Whole Foods & Healing Recipes
It is completely natural to desire something sweet. A sweet flavor is a signal to the body that there will be an abundance of easily-assimilated energy. With processed sugar, the body has been tricked into feeling satisfied, when in fact, the sweetness is completely deficient in essential vitamins, minerals, trace minerals and enzymes which would normally be present. A chocolate bar may satisfy hunger because of the high amount of sugar and fat, but it has created a deficit in the nutrients the body needs to run efficiently. Hence, we have people who are overweight, yet their bodies are starving for nutrients.
Trying to fight your sweet tooth by eliminating sugar from your diet is not the answer. Replacing man-made, processed, empty calories with natural sweeteners is the solution, and we have some practical suggestions.
Sucanat
For the sweet tooth, Sucanat is a joyous blessing from God. You can literally have your cake and eat it too. No feelings of guilt. No sneaking in the cookie jar. But enjoying one of the most delicious, natural sweeteners you have ever tasted. Sucanat is organically grown, freshly-squeezed sugar cane juice, evaporated by a special Swiss process. In its natural state, it is highly nutritious because the molasses is not removed. The flavor is quite extraordinary.
Brown sugar is simply white sugar with a bit of fancy molasses to give texture and color. Everything that you use white and brown sugar for can be replaced with Sucanat.
Sucanat in water, hot or cold, is a refreshing beverage. A teaspoon of dried Sucanat will even remove hiccups.
Unpasteurized Honey
Raw honey has the plant enzyme amylase which is concentrated in the pollen of flowers. It is effective in helping the predigestion of starchy foods. Try spreading raw honey on a piece of bread and allow it to sit for 15 minutes. The honey will immediately begin to break down the starches in the bread. Most commercial honey has been pasteurized, heated for up to 24 hours to prevent it from turning hard or hazy. In 1930, the German Honey Ordinance ordered that honey could not be sold for table use unless the enzyme, amylase was intact. North America has no such requirement. Although not as high in vitamins and minerals as Sucanat, honey is a useful natural sweetener.
Frozen Juice Concentrates
Keep in mind that all the frozen concentrates in your supermarket have been pasteurized. But we consider them far healthier for sweetening a sauce or salad dressing than white sugar. Pineapple, apple and orange concentrates are excellent for sweetening salad dressings or perking up fresh juice combinations, making Popsicles and for baking. A tablespoon of frozen pineapple concentrate can really liven up a fruit salad.
Dates and Raisins
Strengthen me with raisins, refresh me with apples, for I am faint with love (Solomon 2:5). Take a handful of dates, raisins or figs and place them in your blender with a 1/2 cup of water. Blend for 10 minutes or until desired consistency. Out of your blender will come a caramel pudding-like substance that is absolutely heavenly. It is hard to believe that this natural, healthy sweetener is so good for you!. It can be used for salad dressings, topping for fruit salad, creating healthy desserts and baking

THESE ARE THOSE SEED RECIPIES
-------
The inventor of this recipe is a man who lives as a hermit in the woods of Northern Ontario. At 80 years old he is still active. From his well-educated background in nutrition, he had designed this seed breakfast blend for over 20 years.
1 Tbsp. Flax seeds
2 Tbsp. Sesame seeds
2 Tbsp. Sunflower seeds
1 tsp. Honey
½ banana sliced
Blend dry ingredients in coffee grinder until powdered and remove. Add honey and small amounts of hot water. Mix until desired consistency. Slice banana on top with a sprinkle of Sucanat or honey.
Generally we recommend a fruit breakfast so the body can continue its cleansing process from the night before. But, if you live an active life and find yourself working through lunch, this high-calorie breakfast will sustain you through the day.

The Peanut
Butter Replacer
The problem with peanuts is that they don’t taste very good until they are roasted. Even though natural peanut butter found in your health food store is certainly better than the processed junk sold in supermarkets, the peanuts have been heated, compromising the oil. Peanuts are low in essential fatty acids, therefore are a more desirable oil if you "must" fry.
I think we have an excellent dip to rival any peanut butter on the market. It is fast and simple to make, but most importantly, it is raw. The delicate oils have not been compromised. And, it tastes great on toast.
sesame seeds
honey
a pinch of carob
pinch of cinnamon
tiny pinch of salt
Add sesame seeds to your coffee grinder, which by now is suffering with an identity crisis, and grind seeds to a fine powder. Slowly work in unpasturized honey until desired consistency. Add cinnamon, carob and salt to taste. Sesame seeds can be replaced with sunflower or almond. Your kids will love it. Make fresh every second day.

Kristen's Nifty Nut Buds
2 Tbs. sesame seeds
1/8 cup sucanat
2 Tbs. sunflower seeds
pinch of cinnamon
handful of raisins
pinch of carob
Kristen, the eight year old girl next door, came up with this on her own. It only goes to show that you are never too young to be creative in the kitchen.
Powder seeds in the coffee grinder. Warm raisins by rinsing them under hot water. Mush raisins in coffee grinder. Mix all ingredients in a small bowl and knead by hand. Make ball or logs and roll in Sucanat and carob. Place in freezer 30 min. This is great fun for kids.

Choclo-Nut-Milk
cup sesame seeds
2 cups water
squirt vanilla extract
1 tsp. carob
2 Tbs. Sucanat
tsp. honey
pinch cinnamon
Put 1/2 cup of seeds in the grinder. Then transfer to the blender, and add a small amount of water. The mixture will turn into a thick paste. Let the blender run for 3-5 minutes. If the mixture becomes too thick add more water. Add a little more water and let the blender run for a few more minutes. Then add the rest of the water. Add other ingredients, strain and chill before serving. Dates and raisins also work well.

FOUR SEEDS FOR HEALTHY LIFE
here IT IS
We would like to take a look at four of the most nutritious seeds in the world. Raw seeds are high in delicate oils. We are not referring to the deep-fried, salt-laden seeds found in corner stores. Tasty as they may be, they are useless in health, and have been reduced from the height of a delicate nutritious food, to junk food. Instead, use fresh seeds where the fragile oils have not been compromised by heat, light or air.
FLAX SEED
Wherever flax seed becomes a regular food item among the people, there will be better health.
Mahatma Gandhi
Flax seed is one-third oil, the remainder consisting of fiber, protein and mucilage. In our salad dressing section, we have looked at the magical oil that comes from flax. Flax oil, when extracted with care, is one of the greatest sources of essential fatty acids. The protein in flax seeds is easily digested and contains all the amino acids needed for building a strong body. The fiber in flax acts as a broom sweeping the colon of toxic material, metabolic waste and dried mucus. Flax fiber is an excellent food for friendly bacteria in the intestine which keeps disease-causing organisms in check.
Twelve percent of flax seeds is mucilage which makes it a gentle, non-irritating, natural laxative. Flax mucilage is perfect for those who have a sensitive stomach, acting as a buffer for excess stomach acids, soothing ulcers or irritable bowel disorders. Flax expands 20 times in volume and should be taken with a generous amount of water.
Flax seed slowly releases its mucilage through the fiber wall. After half an hour of soaking the little seeds, a slippery mucilage forms. The flax seeds act as a tiny mucilage release capsule. This release continues, changing the water to a slippery consistency similar to a light oil. Flax seed is God’s gift for a toxic colon! It lubricates and absorbs toxins perfectly.
Flax mucilage helps to prevent toxic build-up in the bowel during fasting or a healing diet. When juice fasting, take a teaspoon of whole flax, 2-3 times per day, with a generous supply of water. Do not chew the seeds; swallow them whole with a glass of water. This will allow only the mucilage to escape. The flax seed will pass out of the system without releasing any of its oil. Even though the oil is highly nutritious, it can hinder the deep cleansing process that is desirable during juice fasting.
If you are on a cleansing, raw-food diet, follow the same instructions but chew the seeds, allowing the essential oils to release. Chewing will not hinder the slow release of the mucilage.
Flax seed contains lignans that have anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-cancer properties. Flax seeds have the richest source of lignans, 100 times more than the next best source, wheat bran. The majority of lignans is found in the seed, giving it an advantage over flax oil. Flax seed also contains lecithin which emulsifies fat and cholesterol. These little seeds improve digestion, help stabilize blood glucose levels, fight tumor formation and enhance cardiovascular health. Never purchase premade, ground flax. Grind your own flax seeds fresh in a coffee grinder and eat immediately.
FLAX OIL
Flax oil is worth getting excited over. Aside from hemp oil, it is considered the most nutritious of all the oils in the world, containing generous amounts of the two essential fatty acids our body needs to function properly.
Archaeological digs have discovered that flax was being cultivated in Babylon as far back as 5,000 BC. The healing properties of flax are described in Greek and Roman writings dating back to 650 BC. In Europe, flax has been cultivated for hundreds of years. These tiny brown seeds were used for their nutritional and medical qualities in humans and livestock.
Flax seeds come equipped with a tough outer coat. This casing protects the delicate oils within. If you were to eat flax seeds whole, it would be impossible for your body to receive any of the nutrients. In fact, even after the seeds pass through the digestive system, they can sprout and grow. Only through grinding them fresh or in cold-pressing, can we receive the wealth of nutrients hidden inside. Flax oil is the highest source of unsaturated alpha linolenic. Most people’s diets are lacking in this essential oil. Flax oil also contains carotene and vitamin E, which are valuable antioxidants.
It is crucial to purchase flax oil which has been cold-pressed without the presence of oxygen or light. The oil must be stored in an opaque bottle in the refrigerator or freezer. Check the date on the bottle. A sealed, refrigerated bottle has a shelf-life of four months or one year in the freezer. Once the bottle is opened, it should be consumed within two weeks. It is a more expensive oil but priceless in its nutritional value and contribution to health. We have used flax oil in many of our dressings because of its mild nutty flavor. We believe it is worth every penny.
A TIP. If you have something caught in your eye, place a flax seed on a moist cue tip, positioning it under the upper eyelid that will help reduce the pain and lubricate the object allowing it to move into the corner of where it can be removed.
SUNFLOWER SEEDS
Some people think sunflower seeds are for the birds. Often you can watch birds at a feeder, picking through all the other seeds to get to the prized sunflower seed. Birds are smart! These little gems are packed with nutrients. In fact, they are considered by many to be the most perfect in nutrients, supplying all the body’s needs, except vitamin D, which can be easily obtained through the action of sunlight on the skin. Do not be fooled by deep-fried, chemically-flavored, salt-encrusted, junk food in the convenience store. If the seeds have been removed from the shell, they need to be kept in the refrigerator. You may have to purchase them from a health food store. They may be more expensive but the delicate essential oils will be intact.
Sunflower seeds are 22% protein and contain 50% oil. For every 100 grams, sunflower seeds contain 30 grams of unsaturated fats and 30 milligrams of essential linoleic acid, which reduces cholesterol deposits in the arteries and veins. If you are trying to break an addiction to high-fat foods, they may be a healthy alternative and will satisfy fat cravings. One hundred grams of these tiny treasures contain 7 milligrams of iron compared to 2½ milligrams in the same serving of beef. Flour made from sunflower seeds is the richest source of iron in the world, second only to brewers’ yeast. Sunflower flour is easily made in a coffee grinder.
Sunflower seeds are also filled with potassium which helps flush and reduce sodium in the body. These seeds are plentiful in magnesium and phosphorus which help the body absorb calcium. There are 174 milligrams of calcium in a cup of sunflower seeds. The calcium to phosphorus ratio makes the calcium readily available for the building of strong bones. Sunflower seeds are a strong source of B vitamins, especially thiamin and niacin which protects the health of the brain, skin and digestive tract.
Growing sunflowers is a fun hobby for kids. They will grow up to 8 feet tall, crowned with a huge flower, filled with developing seeds. Some growers place screens on the flower to protect the seeds from birds. Sunflower seeds are an excellent addition to any salad. They can be added to breads, cooked vegetables and are delicious sprinkled over fruit desserts.
PUMPKIN SEEDS
Raw, shelled pumpkin seeds are dark green and absolutely delicious. Until recently they were difficult to find, but have become more plentiful due to government effort. The U. S. Department of Agriculture combined the flavor of a good tasting pumpkin seed with the genetics of a shell-less seed variety, resulting in a gourmet pumpkin seed that does not have to be dehulled.
Pumpkin seed oil is dark green with a full bodied butter-like nutty flavor. It can now be purchased cold-pressed in dark bottles in the refrigerator of your local health food store. Always check the expiration date. Pumpkin seed oil contains both omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids making them a delicate oil. Pumpkin seed oil is a tasty replacement for flax seed oil and delicious over fruit or vegetable salads. Pumpkin seed is a high source of vitamin A, calcium and iron, containing small amounts of protein, B1, B2 and B3.
SESAME SEEDS
Definitely the most nutritious part of a Big Mac. Our suggestion is that if you are going to eat at McDonalds, throw away the hamburger and pick the seeds off the bun and have a nutritious snack with your friends and family.
Sesame seeds have been used for thousands of years. Ancient Arabs would use them as a sustaining food for traveling long distances. They are 19% protein, compared with 13% in eggs. An excellent source of B vitamins and minerals. They are considered one of the highest sources of calcium in the world when the husk is intact. Raw sesame seeds, with their husk intact, are darkish brown in color, compared with the more common dehulled white seeds. Some people keep a shaker of sesame seeds in the middle of the kitchen table and sprinkle them on just about anything. A great addition to any salad.
SEEDS RECIPES
Seeds are a delicious, nutritious treat. If you decide to become a vegetarian, there is no need to fear protein deficiency. Seeds are as high in protein as the leanest meats, but free from cholesterol and sticky fats. Fresh raw nuts and seeds can be wonderfully satisfying. Something we can really sink our teeth into.
Most of us would be amazed at how much we spend on junk food. A dollar here and a dollar there really adds up. We suggest that you take 30 to 35 dollars and go to your local health food store and purchase some healthy alternatives so that, when a craving comes on, you can go to your fridge and sit down and enjoy the variety of natural snack foods God has created. Have a thankful contented spirit and remember that we have a far greater variety of food available today than any other time in history. Feeling deprived is a ridiculous empty lie of Satan for we are surrounded with the limitless blessings of God.
Raw seed recipes are hard to come by. These are seven of the tastiest and rare seed recipes we could find. You will absolutely love them. They are worth their weight in gold.

NATURAL REMEDIES FOR WHOOPING COUGH!!!!
Having researched a lot of medical conditions for HealthNews and having dealt with an innumerable amount amongst my family members and loved ones, I had never heard of a case of whooping cough until yesterday. When my doctor suggested I run a course of antibiotics for my whooping cough, I almost laughed.
Whooping cough? The name alone makes me think of an archaic affliction like typhoid or the plague. However, my ongoing “death rattle” cough obliges me to seek out natural help for my apparent diagnosis.
Whooping cough—also called pertussis—is a serious bacterial infection caused by the infectious bug Bordetella pertussis. Whooping cough spreads through the air and is sensitive as it can be caught by coughing, sneezing, or innocent conversation between people.
Children usually are vaccinated against whooping cough as infants a few times and then again before starting school so they are not high-risk in a large population of children. Unfortunately, all immunizations wear off after a period of time and adults (like me) are susceptible again to this annoying cough.
Annoying indeed, but also dangerous, this cough starts as part of a cold with symptoms like a runny nose, sneezing, and a general body ache. While seeming like a normal, dry cough accompanying a cold, within the first week it turns into a wheezing cough where the patient suffers attacks of coughing that last beyond breath. After gasping for air and coughing up little mucous, these symptoms can occur and become worse over time for up to eight weeks if not treated properly.
Extensive cases require hospitalization as the ability to breathe needs to be watched carefully with these symptoms. The cough can end in a high-pitched whooping noise, hence where the infection got its interesting name. Whooping cough is dangerous in nature because if ignored it can lead to pneumonia, ear infections, and even seizures in young children.
The contagious nature of the infection can be present up to four weeks after the initial coughing starts. In order to stave off a build-up of mucous, patients should avoid eating mucous-forming foods like milk, milk products, and dairy including tofu or ice cream, in order to better manage the treatment.
Meals should also be smaller and more frequent with lower fats. The patient should stay hydrated with fruit juice, popsicles to soothe the throat, hot teas, and plenty of water.
Vitamin C supplements should be taken along with bioflavonoids to promote the immune system. Zinc can also help strengthen your immunity, and probiotics such as yogurt are helpful for getting the digestive tract running smoothly as an attack like this on the body can mess with digestion.
These home remedies can help soothe your insides while coping with the ongoing stress of treating whooping cough:
* Orange juice mixed with water
* Diet rich in fruit
* spending time outdoors with fresh air balanced with lots of rest and relaxation
* Five drops of garlic juice 2 to 3 times a day may help the severity of the cough
* Almond oil in tea
* Ginger juice with honey and fenugreek
* Epsom salt baths with cold compresses against the throat to soothe the body and relieve pain and agitation
Most of these remedies seem to be beneficial for children and have not been used primarily on adults because adults tend to get much milder cases of the infection, but it’s not to say they cannot work.
As for my own bout of whooping cough, I will try to refrain from giggling at the phrase, stop enjoying cereal and milk products for the time being, and make some more herbal tea to ease my scratchy, wheezing throat.

WANNA FEED SOME INTERESTING FACTS AND STUDIES ABOUT HOW SWEARING HELPS REDUCE YOUR PAIN?
Uttering expletives when you hurt yourself is a sensible policy, according to scientists who have shown swearing can help reduce pain.
A study by Keele University researchers found volunteers who cursed at will could endure pain nearly 50% longer than civil-tongued peers.
They believe swearing helps us downplay being hurt in favor of a more pain-tolerant machismo.
The work by Dr Richard Stephens' team appears in the journal NeuroReport.
Dr Stephens, from Keele's school of psychology, came up with the idea for the study after swearing when he accidentally hit his thumb with a hammer as he built a garden shed.
He recruited 64 volunteers to take part and each individual was asked to submerge their hand in a tub of freezing water for as long as possible while repeating a swear word of their choice.
They were then asked to repeat the experiment, this time using a more commonplace word that they would use to describe a table.
Despite their initial expectations, the researchers found that the volunteers were able to keep their hands plunged in the ice water for a longer period of time when repeating the swear word.
Natural response
On average, the students could tolerate the pain for nearly two minutes when swearing compared with only one minute and 15 seconds when they refrained from using expletives.
While it is not clear how or why this link exists, the team believes that the pain-lessening effect occurs because swearing triggers our natural 'fight-or-flight' response.
They suggest that the accelerated heart rates of the volunteers repeating the swear word may indicate an increase in aggression, in a classic fight-or-flight response of downplaying a weakness or threat in order to deal with it.
Dr Stephens said the findings might also explain why the centuries-old practice of cursing developed and still persists today.
But he cautioned: "If they want to use this pain-lessening effect to their advantage they need to do less casual swearing.
"Swearing is emotional language but if you overuse it, it loses its emotional attachment."
Rohan Byrt of the Casual Swearing Appreciation Society said he thought the study was the first time swearing's benefits had been proved.
So swearing is good for your health. Since a lot of swearing is done in Trinidad, the people should be in good shape
A study by Keele University researchers found volunteers who cursed at will could endure pain nearly 50% longer than civil-tongued peers.
They believe swearing helps us downplay being hurt in favor of a more pain-tolerant machismo.

WOMEN ARE WEARING SHOES THAT HURT THERE FEET ....WHY?
Some women love their shoes so much it hurts.
That is the conclusion of a new study that looks at the link between shoe choices and chronic foot pain. It was based on foot exams of 3,378 men and women from Framingham, Mass., who were questioned about the type of shoes they wore in the past as well as in the present. Their average age was 66.
The researchers found that smart shoe choices paid off in the long term: women who had mainly worn supportive footwear like sneakers or athletic shoes in their younger years cut their risk of common foot pain later in life by more than half, compared with women who had worn shoes that gave average support, like hard-soled or rubber-soled ones.
But both of those groups were in a minority. More than 60 percent of women said that in the past they generally wore high heels, pumps, sandals and slippers, all of which researchers rated as higher risk.
Women who wore heels, sandals and slippers were at greatest risk of the most common pain linked to poor choices in shoes, the study found: pain in the hind foot and around the ankle and the Achilles’ tendon.
The study, sponsored by the Institute for Aging Research of Hebrew SeniorLife in Boston, is being published in the October issue of the journal Arthritis Care & Research.
“I think women need to really pay attention to how a shoe fits, and realize that what you’re buying could have potential effects on your feet for the rest of your life,” said the paper’s lead author, Alyssa B. Dufour, a doctoral student in biostatistics at Boston University. “It’s important to pay attention to size and width, and not just buy it because it’s cute.”
When it comes to shoes, men make much better choices, the study found; fewer than 2 percent wore bad shoes.

CHILE PEPPERS FOR PAIN
Studying chilli peppers is helping scientists create a new type of painkiller which could stop pain at its source.
A team at the University of Texas says a substance similar to capsaicin, which makes chilli peppers hot, is found in the human body at sites of pain.
And blocking the production of this substance can stop chronic pain, the team found.
They report their findings in the Journal of Clinical Investigation.
Capsaicin is the primary ingredient in hot chilli peppers which causes a burning sensation.
It does this by binding to receptors present on the cells inside the body.
Similarly, when the body is injured, it releases capsaicin-like substances - fatty acids called oxidized linoleic acid metabolites or OLAMs - and these, via receptors, cause pain, the researchers have found.
Blocking pain
Dr Kenneth Hargreaves, senior researcher at the Dental School at the University of Texas, and his team next set out to see if they could block these newly discovered pain pathways.
Lab work on mice showed that by knocking out a gene for the receptors, there was no sensitivity to capsaicin.
Armed with this knowledge they set about making drugs to do the same.
Dr Hargreaves said: "This is a major breakthrough in understanding the mechanisms of pain and how to more effectively treat it.
"We have discovered a family of endogenous capsaicin-like molecules that are naturally released during injury, and now we understand how to block these mechanisms with a new class of non-addictive therapies."
Ultimately, he hopes the drugs will be able to treat different types of chronic pain, including that associated with cancer and inflammatory diseases such as arthritis and fibromyalgia.
